International airport Kazan: new airlines and destinations in a NEW FLIGHTS SEASON

On March the 30th, 2014 International airport “Kazan” presented a new spring-summer flight schedule. In Summer-2014 season the flight rate of international and domestic destinations will be increased and new routes will be opened.

In spring-summer season the following new Russian air carriers will operate: Yamal air company will perform passenger air service to Anapa starting from June on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Starting from the end of May Groznyi avia air company will perform flights to Anapa – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and to Simferopol (the Crimea) on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays.

The main air company Ak Bars Aero will also offer flights to the Crimea from the mid-August on Wednesdays and Saturdays and also will continue regular flights to Belgorod, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Astrakhan etc.

Komiaviatrans will continue flights to Syktyvkar 3 times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays. The number of flights to the popular destinations, such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Surgut, Ufa and others will be increased.

It is planned to continue the program of flights in the Privolzhskiy (Volga-Region) Federal District. The new season was marked by increase of number of flights not only across Russia but also to CIS countries. The number of flights will become more often to the following cities of former union countries: Baku, Erevan, Kurgan-Tyube, the flight rate to other destinations will remain the same as in winter season.

New foreign residents of Kazan airport: Azerbaijan airlines will open flights to Baku from May 21st, Tadjik Air air company is planning to fly to Dushanbe and Khujand, Spanish air carrier "Vueling airlines will start flights to Barcelona and Ellinair air company to the Corfu island (Greece) from the beginning of June.

As summer comes flights under the international program will be increased. The most popular destinations traditionally will remain Turkey, Greece, Spain and Bulgaria. Six air companies will perform flights to Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman and Istanbul, six - to the Greece islands Iraklion, Rhodes, Kos, Corfu and Salonika, aircrafts of four air companies will fly to Barcelona, and two air carriers will start flights to the Bulgarian city Burgas. Besides that, passengers of Kazan airport will be able to fly directly to Thailand, Chechia, Italy, Tunis, Arab Emirates, Egypt and Cyprus.

For the first time the flights to Palma de Majorca/Spain (air company Severnyi veter (northern wind) and Cam Ranh/ Vietnam (Ikar air company) will be performed this summer season.

In general, the destinations network of the International airport Kazan in summer 2014 season counts to about 60 destinations. Summer schedule will operate till October 25, 2014. Have a nice flight!
