Dances out of the blue at Kazan airport during check-in for the flight to Prague

On May 1, Kazan international airport and Czech Airlines congratulated passengers with the first anniversary flight Kazan–Prague by preparing extraordinary surprise – flashmob dance by LATINA dancing school. 14 performing artists who were dancing to the Czech music took part in the event.

Alexey Starostin, Director General of Kazan international airport said: “One year past since Czech Airlines performed its first flight on the route Czech – Kazan – Czech. For this year and the preceding preparatory stage a considerable amount of work was performed, resulting in qualitative transport service. There were no flight cancellations during the whole period of our cooperation. Air carrier fully provides passenger with all necessary information and day-by-day increases the quality of providing services.

For the last four years, we have been working hard on enlarging route network of Kazan airport, opening new destinations such as Helsinki, Prague, Frankfurt am Main, and Riga. Direct flight launch between Kazan and Prague now has become a milestone in implementation of this strategy. As we expected the flight has a good loading and popular among the citizens of the Republic of Tatarstan and closer regions.

We wish to express our sincere appreciation and deep gratitude for fruitful cooperation to Czech Airlines. We believe in maintaining our business and friendly ties in the future and wish them successful development and reaching new heights.”

From 28.04.2016, until today 170 flights were performed and 18 871 passengers were carried on the route Prague – Kazan – Prague. Average passenger load factor is 84 percent.

The flights on the route Kazan–Prague are performed twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. The flights are carried out on Airbus A319 aircrafts with capacity of 140 seats with two serving classes: 8 seats in business class and 132 seats in economy class. The departure from Kazan at 3:35 a.m. and arrival at Prague airport at 06:15 a.m. local time. The flights back on Wednesdays and Sundays with departure from Prague at 22:05 p.m. and arrival to Kazan the next day at 2:40 a.m. local time. The flight duration on the route Kazan – Prague is about 3 hour 45 minutes.
