Kazan international airport broke a record for the number of passengers handled per day – 16 303!
On June 21, 2018 16 303 passengers were handled at Kazan international airport, which is all-time high for the airport. Among them 9 685 domestic and 6 618 international travel passengers were handled.
In total, 1 294 503 passengers were handled from January 1 to June 21, 2018 that is 31.1% more than in the same period of the previous year. Passenger traffic growth is fixed during the whole period.
The airport conducts continuous work on the development of the route network. In the first half of 2018, regular flights to Bologna, Minsk, Tbilisi, and Batumi were opened, and the number of flights to the states of Central Asia increased.
By the end of 2017, airport handled 2 623 mln passengers. At the same time, the airport showed the highest rates of positive dynamics in terms of the volume of passengers served among the largest airports of the Russian Federation – the first place in terms of growth dynamics – 37.1%.
