KAZAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT BECAME THE FIRST PARTICIPANT OF THE PROGRAM “PUBLIC PHONE” IN THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN
As part of the social program “Public Phone” passengers and guests of Kazan international airport got the opportunity to use free phone connection and call anywhere in Russia, including at the local phone numbers.
The program “Public Phone” was developed and implemented by the company “XXI century – TV”. This program is unique and has no analogues; implemented without the involvement of federal and regional budgets.
Kazan international airport became the first participant of the program “Public Phone” in the Republic of Tatarstan. Six phone booths are set on the territory of airport: three – near Terminal 1A, two – near Terminal 1 and one – in the parking area of Terminal 1A. Phone booths have been successfully tested and now function nominally.
Public phones’ equipment allows passengers and visitors with reduced mobility to use new free call service. Thus, telephone sets are equipped with Braille alphabet and well-lit for visually impaired, there are also talk volume control for hearing-impaired and are located at the optimum height for dialing number and talking to people on wheelchairs. The width of the booth allows to drive in and out easily to people with reduced mobility.
“Kazan international airport is socially oriented company. One of the main goals is to improve the passenger service quality level at the airport by implementing new convenient services, which enhance comfort and convenience of staying at the airport of all passenger categories. Today passengers and visitors of our airport can use available service of free local, national and international calls. Moreover, this service type suggests free access to airport maintenance services, state services and calls to Kazan emergency services”, pointed out Aleksey Starostin, Director General of Kazan international airport.
