On April 23, 2015 the flight Helsinki-Kazan-Helsinki of Finnair airline returns to the route network of Kazan international airport

Finnish partner of Kazan airport resumed regular passenger flights on the route Helsinki-Kazan- Helsinki in 100-seater comfortable aircraft Embraer 190 (E-90). Aircrafts take off from the capital of Tatarstan every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 3.25 and land after 2.5 hours at 6.05 at Helsinki Airport. Departure from Helsinki is at 23.55 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The aircraft arrives at Kazan airport on the following day at 2.25. Tickets can be purchased online on, in sales offices in the airport and the city of Kazan, as well as on the websites of online sales.

Thus, the flight allows residents of the Republic of Tatarstan to arrive at the capital of Finland in the early morning. Therefore, passengers can get from Helsinki to major European cities such as London or Paris even before the start of the day.  
Moreover, the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is the largest hub for transfer not only across Europe but also to North-American destinations that opens additional opportunities to transit flights.

The duration of the Helsinki-Kazan-Helsinki route performing is scheduled until October 24. It is important to note that during the spring-summer season the local time is the same between the two capitals starting this year, as daylight saving time in Russia in 2015 has been canceled.

Representatives of the air carrier acquainted with passengers and aircrafts services technologies of  Kazan international airport before opening the direction in 2014, as well as its modern infrastructure. Appreciation was expressed for the quality of airport services. Finnair representatives noted the significant development potential of Kazan airport.

Finnair aircompany opened this route in August 2014. The flights were performed also three times a week. Herewith November was marked with the highest peak of passenger flow, however, flights operating was stopped in February, 2015 due to the demand decrease in winter season.  

Helsinki is very beautiful modern city of Europe. Flights resuming on this route will provide residents of the Republic of Tatarstan and the nearest regions with wider opportunities both for the choice of touristic routes and business cooperation development with European partners. It will also serve to strengthen of the social and cultural connections between Finland and the Republic of Tatarstan.
